Warm Tips

• Wear safety glasses that meet ANSL standards.
• Keep clothing, hair, hands, tools, test equipment, etc. away from all operating or hot equipment.
• Because the exhaust fumes emitted during testing are toxic, test the vehicle in a well-ventilated work area.
• Please place blocks at the bottom of the wheels and do not leave the vehicle unattended for testing.
• When working around the ignition coil, be especially careful with the distributor cap, ignition wires, and spark plugs. These components can generate dangerously high voltages when the engine is running.
• Keep a fire extinguisher near gasoline/chemical/electrical equipment in case of fire.
• Put the transmission into Park (automatic transmission) or Neutral (manual transmission) and make sure the handbrake is engaged.
• Do not connect or disconnect any test equipment while the ignition is on or the engine is running.
• When the power switch of the tool is pressed, the battery current and voltage will be directly conducted to the ground or certain circuits, which may cause sparks. Therefore, do not use near flammable materials such as gasoline or its vapor. Sparks from powered tools can ignite these vapors, so follow the same precautions as you would with a welder to stay safe.
• Keep equipment dry, clean, and free of oil, water, or grease. Use a clean cloth if necessary for cleaning equipment.
