⚠️Warm Tips
  • Please note that the SDT series requires the connection of a 12V battery.
  • When you use this AUTOOL SDT205S Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill it with 10-15ml oil. Please be careful NOT to beyond this range.
  • Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve.
  • The testing liquid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.
  • Fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, and it can’t be filled over 15ml each time.
  • Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.
  • During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
  • Do not run the detector for over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest.
  • The detector has an intelligent protector, if it exceeds the working limit, such as over 75 ℃, it will automatically turn off the power. In this case, please operate it later.
  • The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns.

How To Use The AUTOOL SDT205S Automotive Evap Smoke Machine?

  • Step 1: Fill 10-15ml baby oil into the detector for the first time. Open the engine cover, and hang the detector in the cover.
  • Step 2: Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected to the detector.
  • Step 3: Connect the detector with the DC12V battery, turn on the power switch, and the detector starts to work.
  • Step 4: In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points. Please use a headlamp if necessary.

If you can’t find a professional test oil, you can buy liquid paraffin or baby oil at your local store as test oil.

How much testing oil should be added to the auto smoke leak detector?

We suggest to add 10-20ml testing oil for the first trial. Please drain some testing oil out if you add too much accidentally. You can reuse the extra next time.

Do not add more than 15ml of baby oil

The delivery speed is super fast, the response speed to questions is also very fast, and the service is impeccable. The product is easy to operate, the smoke volume is large, and it can be adjusted, which is very convenient to use! It is recommended to try it with baby oil. You only need about 15ml each time. Don't add more (I added 50ml, there was no room to generate smoke, and I poured out the baby oil to use it normally)

Puts out plenty of smoke

Previously I had bought a cheap smoke detector, one of those that looks like an aluminum can. Well it wasn’t a good buy, especially because you also need to set up an air compressor to use it.
