⚠️Warm Tips
  • Please note that the SDT series requires the connection of a 12V battery.
  • When you use this AUTOOL SDT60 Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill it with 10-15ml oil. Please be careful NOT to beyond this range.
  • Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve.
  • The testing liquid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.
  • Fill new baby oil, recommended to fill about 10ml
  • Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.
  • During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
  • Do not run the detector for over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest.
  • The detector has an intelligent protector, if it exceeds the working limit, such as over 75 ℃, it will automatically turn off the power. In this case, please operate it later.
  • The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns.
  • Please note that the SDT60 needs to be connected to a 12V battery for use.

How To Use The AUTOOL SDT60 Automotive Smoke Machine?

  • Step 1: Fill 10-15ml baby oil into the detector for the first time. Open the engine cover, and hang the detector in the cover.
  • Step 2: Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected to the detector.
  • Step 3: Connect the detector with the DC12V battery, turn on the power switch, and the detector starts to work.
  • Step 4: The pipe fills with smoke within 30 seconds, check for leaks. Check the leak points. Please use a headlamp if necessary.

Outstanding little unit. Puts out under half a psi so it won't rupture the fuel tank. This was my first experience with a smoke machine. Used to cure small evap leak code on Mercedes ML350. It had a little crack on the seam of the gas neck. In a month, I'd not have found it without smoke. Thanks so much guys. Great job. It even shut itself off once (overheat protection) and reset after a little while.
