⚠️Warm Tips
  • Please note that the SDT series requires the connection of a 12V battery.
  • When you use this AUTOOL SDT106 Car Smoke Test Machine for the first time, fill it with 10-15ml oil. Please be careful NOT to beyond this range.
  • The testing liquid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.
  • Only fill fresh oil when the smoke becomes thin, and limit each fill to no more than 15ml.
  • Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.
  • During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
  • Do not run the detector for over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest.
  • The detector has an intelligent protector, if it exceeds the working limit, such as over 75 ℃, it will automatically turn off the power. In this case, please operate it later.
  • The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns.

How To Use The AUTOOL SDT106 Smoke Detector Machine?

  • Step 1: Fill 10-15ml baby oil into the detector for the first time. Open the engine cover, and hang the smoke test machine on the cover.
  • Step 2: Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected to the detector.
  • Step 3: Connect the smoke test machine with the DC12V battery, turn on the power switch, and the detector starts to work.
  • Step 4: In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points. Please use a headlamp if necessary.

    This works well. The price point is very good. I read one review talking about the smell of the babby oil, and they were right! You really need to use this outside and not in your garage. The smell lasts for weeks and weeks, lol. This isn’t the units fault, just inherent. I definitely recommend this product for the home mechanic.
