⚠️Important Usage Instructions for Car Smoke Leak Detector
Power Supply: The smoke test machine must be connected to a 12V battery to operate.
Test oil: Kindly note that, due to logistics restrictions, we are unable to include testing oil in the package. You can easily buy liquid paraffin or baby oil locally for use as the testing fluid.
First-Time Use: Each time you use the smoke tester car, please fill it with 10–15ml of testing oil. Do not exceed this range, as there will be no space left for smoke generation.
Testing Oil Refill Tips: Only refill when the smoke becomes thin. Do not add more than 15ml at a time. Always drain the remaining test oil before adding fresh test oil.
Safety Precautions
- Do not operate the smoke leak detector continuously for more than 8 minutes; allow it to rest between uses.
- The smoke test machine features an intelligent protection system that automatically shuts off if the internal temperature exceeds 75°C. Please wait for it to cool down before restarting.
- The metal round section of the smoke tester car can become hot during operation—avoid direct contact to prevent burns.

How To Use The AUTOOL SDT206 Automotive Vacuum Leak Tester?
- Step 1: Fill 10-15ml baby oil into the detector for the first time. Open the engine cover, and hang the detector in the cover.
- Step 2: Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected to the detector.
- Step 3: Connect the detector with the DC 12V battery, turn on the power switch, and the detector starts to work.
- Step 4: In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points. Please use a headlamp if necessary.

If you can’t find a professional test oil, you can buy liquid paraffin or baby oil at your local store as test oil.
How much testing oil should be added into the auto smoke test machine?
It’s suggested to add 10-20ml testing oil for the first trial. Please drain some testing oil out if you add too much accidentally. You can reuse the extra next time.
