This page explains how payments are handled for purchases made on shop.autooltech.com. We accept PayPal, major credit and debit cards, and bank transfer arranged through customer service. Every charge is disclosed at checkout before you confirm the order. Where mandatory consumer-protection law provides stronger rights, those rules prevail.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
The payment methods available for your order depend on the checkout page, your shipping destination, the order currency, the current configuration of our payment-service providers, and whether bank transfer has been arranged through customer service. Below is a summary of the methods we support.
Availability note: We reserve the right to add, remove, or modify accepted payment methods at any time without prior notice. The checkout page shows the standard self-service payment options for that transaction, and bank transfer may also be arranged separately through customer service when approved for the order.
2. Payment Timing & Order Confirmation
Understanding when payment is collected and how your order is confirmed helps set the right expectations for the purchasing process.
3. Pricing & Fee Transparency
We are committed to clear, upfront pricing. Here is what is included in your checkout total and how we handle charges.
- Checkout total includes: The product price, any applicable shipping fee, and any tax or duty amount collected by AUTOOL for the order. These line items are displayed individually on the checkout page so you can review each charge before confirming payment.
- No hidden charges: We do not intentionally add any fees, surcharges, or additional amounts after checkout that were not disclosed on the checkout page. The total you see before clicking “Place Order” (or its equivalent) is the amount that will be charged to your payment method.
- Promotions and discounts: If you have a valid coupon code or promotional discount, it must be applied at checkout before payment. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively after an order has been placed.
- Price changes: Product prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of checkout. Price changes after your order has been placed and confirmed will not affect your order.
- Currency display: Prices on the website are displayed in the currency indicated on the product and checkout pages. If your payment method uses a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply a currency conversion fee. See Section 10 for more details.
4. Customs, Duties & Import Charges
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country’s government or customs authority.
- Collected at checkout vs. collected separately: In some cases, AUTOOL collects estimated import duties and taxes at checkout on behalf of the carrier or customs broker. When this applies, it will be shown as a line item during checkout. However, if these charges are not collected at checkout, they may be assessed and collected separately by the customs authority, the carrier, or a customs broker upon delivery.
- Customer responsibility: The recipient of the shipment (the customer) is the importer of record and is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and related fees imposed by the destination country, unless those charges were already collected by AUTOOL at checkout.
- Amounts vary: Import charges vary widely by country, product category, declared value, and applicable trade agreements. AUTOOL does not control and cannot predict the exact amount of duties or taxes your country may impose.
- Non-refundable by AUTOOL: Customs duties and import taxes collected by government authorities are not charged by AUTOOL and therefore cannot be refunded by AUTOOL. If you believe you were overcharged by customs, you should contact the customs authority in your country directly.
- Refused delivery: If you refuse delivery of a package due to customs charges, you remain responsible for any return shipping costs and any duties or fees already incurred. A refund for the product, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
5. Payment Security
We take the security of your payment information seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect every transaction.
- HTTPS / SSL encryption: Our checkout is protected by HTTPS with SSL/TLS encryption. This means all data transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted, preventing interception by third parties.
- Payment provider processing: Your payment card details are processed directly by our third-party payment provider (such as PayPal, Stripe, or another PCI-compliant processor). AUTOOL does not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers.
- PCI DSS compliance: Our payment processing partners maintain compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which establishes rigorous security requirements for handling cardholder data.
- Data protection: Personal and billing information you provide during checkout is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your payment data to third parties.
6. Payment Verification & Fraud Prevention
To protect both our customers and AUTOOL, we may perform payment verification and fraud-screening procedures before processing or shipping an order.
- Verification process: We may verify billing information, confirm the cardholder’s identity, cross-check the billing and shipping addresses, or request additional documentation before releasing an order for shipment.
- What may trigger a review: Orders may be flagged for review if there is a mismatch between billing and shipping addresses, unusually large order amounts, multiple rapid orders from the same account, use of a new or unverified payment method, or orders shipped to high-risk regions.
- Possible outcomes: If verification is successful, the order proceeds normally. If we cannot verify the payment or suspect fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to cancel the order and void the authorization. You will be notified by email if your order is affected.
- What to do: If your order is held for review, check your email (including spam/junk folders) for a verification request from us. Respond promptly with the requested information to avoid delays. You can also contact shop@autooltech.com for assistance.
7. Failed Payments & Troubleshooting
If payment is not successfully authorized, the order will not be completed and no products will be shipped. Below are common causes and how to resolve them.
- Insufficient funds: Ensure your account or card has enough available balance to cover the full order amount.
- Incorrect card details: Double-check the card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address. Even a single digit error will cause a decline.
- Card issuer restrictions: Some banks block international or online transactions by default. Contact your card issuer to authorize the transaction or temporarily lift restrictions.
- 3D Secure / Two-Factor Authentication: If your bank requires additional verification (such as a one-time password sent via SMS), complete the verification step promptly. Failure to authenticate will result in a declined transaction.
- Expired or blocked card: Make sure your card is not expired, reported lost/stolen, or otherwise blocked.
- Browser or network issues: Clear your browser cache, disable ad-blockers or VPNs that may interfere with the payment page, and try again. Using a different browser or device can also help.
- PayPal issues: If paying via PayPal, ensure your PayPal account is in good standing, has a confirmed funding source, and is not subject to any limitations.

8. Refunds & Chargebacks
This section covers how payment refunds and chargeback disputes are handled. For full return eligibility and conditions, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy.
- Refund method: Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. We do not issue refunds by cash, check, store credit, or to a different payment method unless required by law or agreed in writing.
- Processing time: Once a refund is approved and initiated by AUTOOL, the funds typically take 5–14 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider. PayPal refunds are generally faster than card refunds.
- Partial refunds: In certain situations (e.g., partial returns, minor defects, or negotiated resolutions), a partial refund may be issued instead of a full refund.
- Chargebacks: If you file a chargeback (payment dispute) with your bank or card issuer, we will respond to the dispute with documentation and evidence. Filing a chargeback does not guarantee a refund and may result in your account being suspended pending investigation.
- Dispute resolution: We strongly encourage you to contact us at shop@autooltech.com before filing a chargeback. Most billing issues can be resolved more quickly through direct communication. If a chargeback is filed for an order that was already refunded, we reserve the right to recover the duplicate credit.
- Non-refundable charges: Customs duties, import taxes, and any charges collected by government authorities or carriers are not refundable by AUTOOL.
9. Currency & Exchange Rates
Prices on shop.autooltech.com are displayed in the currency shown on the product and checkout pages. Please note the following regarding currency and exchange rates:
- Displayed currency: The currency shown at checkout is the currency in which your payment will be processed. Make sure you review the currency indicator before confirming your order.
- Conversion by your bank: If your payment method is denominated in a different currency from the checkout currency, your bank or card issuer will convert the charge at their prevailing exchange rate. This rate is determined by your financial institution, not by AUTOOL, and may include a foreign transaction fee.
- PayPal currency conversion: If you pay via PayPal and the transaction requires currency conversion, PayPal may apply its own exchange rate and conversion fee. You can review PayPal’s currency conversion terms in your PayPal account settings.
- Exchange rate fluctuations: Exchange rates fluctuate continuously. The rate applied to your transaction is determined at the time of charge by your bank or payment provider, which may differ from the rate displayed by third-party currency converters.
- Refund exchange rates: If a refund is issued, it will be refunded in the original transaction currency. Due to exchange rate fluctuations between the date of purchase and the date of refund, the amount credited to your account in your local currency may differ from the original amount debited.
