The AUTOOL SDT205 Smoke Detector Machine is an automotive smoke leak detector with a visual pressure gauge that easily detects leaks in pipes. It has dual test modes: air mode and Smoke mode.

Air mode is a pressure gauge that allows you to determine if there is a leak without activating the smoke. to determine if there is a leak. Smoke mode is independently controlled by a smoke generator and can be activated when we find a leak. Warm Tips

Please note that the SDT series requires the connection of a 12V battery.
When you use this AUTOOL SDT 205 Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill it with 10-15ml oil. Please be careful NOT to beyond this range.
Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve.
The testing liquid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.
Fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, and it can’t be filled over 15ml each time.
Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.
During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
Do not run the detector for over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest.
The detector has an intelligent protector, if it exceeds the working limit, such as over 75 ℃, it will automatically turn off the power. In this case, please operate it later.
The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns.

How To Use The AUTOOL SDT205 Smoke Detector Machine?

Step 1: Fill 10-15ml baby oil into the detector for the first time. Open the engine cover, and hang the detector in the cover.
Step 2: Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected to the detector.
Step 3: Connect the detector with the DC12V battery, turn on the power switch, and the detector starts to work.
Step 4: In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points. Please use a headlamp if necessary.

If you can’t find a professional test oil, you can buy liquid paraffin or baby oil at your local store as test oil.

How much testing oil should be added into the auto smoke leak detector?

It’s suggested to add 10-20ml testing oil for the first trial. Please drain some testing oil out if you add too much accidentally. You can reuse the extra next time.

Can smoke leak detectors detect auto A/C system?

Since the auto A/C system is not an ordinary pipeline system, the output pressure generated by the air-conditioning compressor is 1.7-3.0Mpa, while our smoke leak detectors can only generate 0.1 Mpa output pressure. So the smoke leak detector cannot directly test the auto A/C system for leaks. You can use our machine to perform segment-assisted testing for air-conditioning pipelines.

How to use a smoke leak detector to perform a segmental auxiliary test on the air conditioning pipeline?
